An increasing percentage of American searchers click on ads on Google search results. Similarly, the percentage of visitors not clicking on anything is also increasing. But the percentage of visitors clicking on natural search listings is declining. All of this is according to Jumpshot, a commercial analytics platform. Jumpshot recently compared click rates in the United States with Google search results for 2016 and 2018. The analysis grouped the researcher’s work into three categories: (i) no clicks at all. search results, (ii) click on ads, and (iii) click on organic listings.
